It worked for me reserved 2 nights end of next week, of course not going so I cancelled.

Georgia camper if you take your kids to Topsail you will be a long way from OBX, Topsail is considered to be part of Crystal Coast not OBX. Mapquest say it is 215 miles to Manteo considered to be the center of the OBX. That is without going on the 2 ferries.

fla recommendations
We are planning a week trip to Fla in Feb and are looking at Bees Resort near Clermont and Crystal Isle in Crystal River. I have read mixed reviews on both, any experiences here? Thanks.

It doesnt look that good from road, never been inside it. I would recommend the KOA there, it is a very long drive to Emerald Isle and Surf City.

It might have something to do with pricing, altho it is a very nice place and we enjoy it, I would not camp there unless we were C2C members and stay for $10 per night. We are staying this fall for 7 days and stayed 7 days in spring at a cost of $140 versus app. $800 regular prices, C2C seems like a deal to me.

We stayed at the KOA at Sunset Beach, it is about a 5-10 min drive byut the campground and the people there are really nice.

If you go Hiway 64 there are no ferries to ride to get to KOA, also none to cross coming south from Virginia.

I am at Mayberry campground in Mount Airy just a few miles north of King, it is new no pool but very quite, laid back and lots to do in Mount Airy. They have a website mayberrycampground.com also full hook up w/50-30 amp only $25.

Going to Mayberry
The campground that is next week for 4 days. Also plan on visiting Mount Airy, wife and granddaughter never been and I havent been since the early 70s. Gonna ride in the car LOL and have a pork chop sandwich at snappy lunch.
